8 Aug Part 2 – Poker

I only played 4 hours earlier on and I wanted to put in more volume so I decided to start another quick session before I head over to my friend’s place at night. I was playing perhaps for 30 min on my Iphone, NL100 HU and won about $100 against some weak regs so I’m quite happy about my results for HU but my luck at Zoom was super terrible as usual.

I’m quite surprised I’m not really tilty today, maybe the Trance music is calming me down. I’m satisfied with my play though, I don’t think I really made any major mistake, did some bluffs which fail but even after reflecting upon them I felt that they were fine.

There were a bunch of sick coolers and also some sad suckouts. I’m also starting to experiment with chatting in game. For now my hypothesis is that
Nits have nit mentality
Stations have station mentality

My guess is that it’s not important what you say, but nits will be paranoid about you trying to trick them into a light call. Stations are paranoid about you trying to bluff them off with some bullshit chat. Will try this out in the future.

1) This guy was pretty tight so I think my bluff would have probably worked anyway. Anyway I said “Fold!” then he tanked quite long and said I probably had 87s or something lol

2) I bet for thin value here and yes, his line doesn’t make sense at all so I was going to bet/call for sure (size was meant to induce light call from Ace high or induce bluff) but too bad for me he had the nuts.

3) I was like “What??” when I saw the ultra huge 3bet. Saw no reason to iso myself against AA so opted to flat and play post flop (which was to stack off on every single flop probably)

4) This guy’s kind of loose but opens 15% from UTG. I don’t think I had a bluffing dynamic vs hiim so I really wonder if I can shove the River for value (He has way more combos of Ace high flushes than lower flushes and would he ever call me with sets?)
